Lisa spent some time in New Orleans writing songs in the spring and summer of 2002. Through that period she recorded five songs, sang on Joe Barry's highly acclaimed "Been Down that Muddy Road" album, sang backup at the New Orleans Jazz Fest with Jean Knight and Ernie K-Doe. She also worked with Percy Sledge while here. Maybe the most honorable of all, she sang at the very last gig the "Emperor of the Universe" himself, Ernie K-Doe, did at Tipitinas in New Orleans.
