South Louisiana. South Louisiana is the home of great food, music, and the unique culture of Cajuns.

Celebrating 13 years on the web in 2008!

Stacy Wells (who happens to be my oldest daughter) just recently returned from a goodwill trip to Haki Japan (April, 2004).  Along with Stacy, were representatives from Belgium, United Kingdom, Greece, Japan, and Korea.

Here are a few photos (I'm waiting on Stacy to comment on these...):

Stacy placed 3rd in the Green Mountain Marathon in Burlington, Vermont!  This is a very high level accomplishment that few people in their entire lifetime will ever realize.  Below are photos from the event.  (For all of you who are like me, a marathon is a footrace of 26 miles 385 yards!)

Still smiling but now wearing a poncho, Stacy Wells approaches mile 14.

Stacy just passed the 20 mile mark. Only 6 miles to go. It is said these are the toughest (they are!).

Stacy, closely followed by Tom, approaches the finish line.

Tom & Stacy, so glad it's over! Mike, why are YOU yawning?

Mike and Stacy

Marathoner Stacy Wells received a medal of completion.  Stacy also received a medal for finishing third in the 20 to 29 year-old women's age class!
